‘Joga Bonito’ and the Beautiful Game: Hooliganism Is Here To Stay

Firms, football hooliganism and middle-aged flab a dying art? Think again!

Ali Sami Yen Stadium

Football hooliganism has no specific legal definition. The term was created by the media, the tabloid press in particular, in the mid-1960s. Since then, they have been extremely flexible and indeterminate in ascribing the “hooligan” label to different incidents. The perpetuation of football hooliganism can be linked to the high level of drama, aggression and petit mal that overcomes players in the 90 minutes of rigid warfare on the football field.

Ibrahimovic: “Pep Reminds me of Gandhi”

Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to pass comment on his former coach, Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola, on this occasion bizarrely comparing him to former political figure Mahatma Gandhi.
The Swede is currently on loan in Serie A from the Blaugrana, and has previously been vocal in his criticism of his former boss, branding the tactician “a philosopher”.

Now Ibrahimovic, who netted the winning goal in the derby clash against Inter on Sunday evening, was speaking to Scandinavian broadcaster TV10, and said of Guardiola: “With the way he dresses and talks, he always want to look like a philosopher. He reminds me a bit of Mahatma Gandhi when he is preparing his team.
“People say that he has won six trophies, but I could have won six trophies as the coach of that team. You can play without a coach – to me, they are the best team in the world.”
The striker also insisted the full reasoning behind his departure from the Camp Nou club has not yet been fully explained to him, continuing: “My farewell was a personal matter. It cannot be due to my quality, because there was never any discussion on that part. You cannot be the leader, have dialogue with 20 players, but with the 21st look the other way.”

Ibra’s Price Reduced by Adriano Galliani : FUNNY

This is How he did it .

Galliani: “How much for the big guy?”
Rosell: “70”
Galliani: “Last price?”
Rosell: “50”
Galliani: “I’ll give you 5”
Rosell: “No, last price 45, and like that I’m already losing compared to how much he cost me”
Galliani: “I can go up to 10, but that’s it”
Rosell: ” Ummm …. No? 40?”
(Galliani walks away)
(Rosell chases him with ‘the big guy’ in his hand and shoves ‘it’ in his hand)
Rosell: “Ok, ok, 30 — but just for you!”
Galliani: “25”
(Galliani waves the cash infront of Rosell)
(Rosell’s eyes widen and sparkle as he starts dreaming of all he can do with the monies — but then reverts to a a big frown)
Rosell: “Fine, 25, here you go…”
(Rosell hands over ‘the big guy’ and takes the money and counts it)
Rosell: “Mister, Mister! There’s only 24 here!!”
Galliani: “Sorry, that’s all I had on me”
Rosell: “Oh, ok… well.. please come again and I make you another great deal. Oh… and tell your friends!!”

Ronaldinho snuck into Barca’s Team PHOTO

Ronaldinho’s return to the Camp Nou came on Wednesday as AC Milan visited Barcelona to play in the Trofeo Gamper match. He ensured a warm welcome back by writing an open letter to the Barca faithful that was posted on the club’s official website and described his time with the club as “the best years of my life.” So once he arrived it was naturally all smiles and hugs.

Before the match, Ronaldinho was honored with a video tribute on the stadium’s big screen, then was invited in for Barca’s team photo by Puyol. After the home side won the match on penalties, Puyol posed with the trophy and his former teammate.

I’m assuming Ronaldinho then attempted to follow the Barca players back into their dressing room before Pep stopped him at the door and gently reminded him that they still don’t want him anymore.

Click HERE to see the dramatic Video which Barca put together for him.

Barcelona coach Guardiola refuses to fire back at Ibrahimovic

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola refused to enter a war of words with Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swede’s move to AC Milan. Following victory over Racing Santander, Guardiola chose to praise his former striker.

“I appreciate his efforts and wish him all the best of luck in his new club. He’s a great player,” said the coach.

“I do not know [if Barca will miss Ibra], I guess so, anything is possible but I am very pleased with the squad I have and with the reserves.

“The first match is always difficult. I congratulate Racing because they are one of the few teams who play us as equals and not with long balls.”
