The month of December is a very busy one in the world of football. A lot of things happen in this festive period. For players playing their football in England, the matches start to come thick and fast. This is the time when the league table starts to show it’s real colours. Clubs prepare to single out players to sign in the next month’s transfer window while players who want a way out of their club start their media campaign, for instance Tevez these days. Arsenal rising star Jack Wilshere admits that he has learnt a lot for the red card he was shown against Birmingham. The 19 year old was sent off after he mistimed his tackle on Birmingham City’s striker Nikola Zigic. Wilshere says that he should have watched the clock before making the unnecessary tackle on the striker which reactively cost him 3 games.

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has hailed the immediate impact made by summer signing Ben Foster, and believes he has better start to his career at St Andrews than former Blues keeper Joe Hart did.
