Ramsey joins Nottingham Forest on loan

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until 3rd January 2011.

Ramsey made his comeback from a broken leg he suffered against Stoke City in February. He played 45 minutes for the Reserves against Wolves on Tuesday. The midfielder joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in June 2008 and has made a total of 51 appearances for the Gunners, scoring five times.

Arsenal reserves team coach Neil Banfield saw Ramsey play in his comeback match and he had all the words to praise the young midfielder.

"He’s been first class," Banfield told Arsenal.com. "His application and attitude in getting back to training and getting fit has been outstanding.
"It’s always extremely pleasing when someone comes back after such a horrific injury.
"Breaking your leg is obviously one of the worst ones you can get. To see him running around freely is a testament to the medical staff at the Club and his attitude to getting fit. It’s fantastic to see him playing again."
"I think he had a good run out [against Wolves]. He was obviously puffing a little bit but we used the game for what we wanted him to do and hopefully the next game will be 60 minutes and we will go from there."
"I think obviously there were going to be a few nerves for his first game and his first tackle, he wants to get through and he’s going to be a bit wary of things,"
said Banfield. "But he’s got through fine and we can go from there.
"When he first received the injury a lot of people spoke to him but it’s always in the back of your mind until you play. You think ‘it’s my injury and how am I going to be when I put the boots on and go through that first tackle and first challenge?’ But he came through very well."
