Former Man United and England star Nicky Butt could sign for Hong Kong Champions South China for a staggering £200,000 a week.
Butt quit Newcastle at the end of last season and had planned to move into coaching but this lucrative deal will be almost impossible to ignore. It will put Butt in the same pay bracket as Premier League top earner Yaya Toure of Manchester City. The deal is funded by South China Chairman Steven Lo who wants Butt to play for his team for four months from February.
Butt won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League medal in his time at Manchester United.
