Movember Madness: Moustache Mania

Mo-vember is an annual month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November. But Movember Madness also seems to have hit some of our favourite Premier League stars.

Premier League players sporting a moustaches this month include the likes of:

Keith Fahey (Birmingham)

John Walters (Stoke)

Tunday Sanli (Stoke)

Ricardo Fuller (Stoke)

Roger Johnson (Birmingham)

Kevin Davies (Bolton)

I know, they dont look all that pretty in these moustaches but the stats for them with their moustaches on are pretty handsome:

All together these men have scored 9 goals between them. Individually, Keith Fahey had a great November as he got back his place in the starting line-up scored 1 cracking goal and got 1 assist in 4 matches.

John Walters cemented his first-team place this month and last weekend scored a brace to give his side a 3-0 win.

Tuncay Sanli was part of a Stoke side which in November lost just 1 home game and has won its last 3 matches, he also scored 1 goal in 2 appearances. Ricardo Fuller is also part of that side and scored a great goal against Birmingham.

Roger Johnson’s Movember has been simply awesome, even though his Mo hasnt been the most inventive. He has got serious praises in this month thanks to his brilliant displays away to Man CIty and at home to Chelsea where they beat the Champions, he has also been said to be deserving an England call-up.

Kevin Davies has had the best November though, with 3 goals and 3 assists to his name and getting an England call-up, this month has been anything but ordinary for him. Kevin has also been a part of the Bolton side that sits pretty at 5th in the table and have suffered just 2 defeats in their last 12.

And i cant end this article dedicated to moustaches without talking about the Moustache Man himself, Joey Barton.

1708_jbarton_reuter_657185tThe most dashing player on the planet … well if we were living in the 50’s.  He with some of his pals at Newcastle pledged to keep a moustache until their side won a Premier League game in a “Magpie Moustache challenge”. They did keep their promise and removed it immediately after the got their first win which was against Aston VIlla in a 6-0 thrashing.

Here’s a video of Joey and the Magpies
