Arsene Wenger expects Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy to sign new deals for Arsenal. The French duo have entered the final two years of their contracts and Wenger is adamant that both of them will agree to extend their contracts.
Samir Nasri is in the form of his life and he was expected to get an extension to his contract. The new deal will put him among the highest earners at Arsenal. Wenger said:
“We are working on it at the moment. I’m hopeful, yes, because the players want to stay.”
Andriy Arshavin is also expected to tie down a new deal as the Russian forward’s contract expires in 2012.
