Arsenal lads wearing poppy shirts against Everton

Arsenal lads will be commemorating Armistice Day in the remembrance of those men and women who gave their lives for the sake of peace and prosperity in this world. Arsenal side will be wearing the away yellow shirt with poppy embroidered in the center alongside the Arsenal crest.

Arsenal Chairman, Peter Hill-Wood said: “We are extremely proud that all our players will be wearing special shirts with embroidered poppies for our match against Everton on Sunday 14 November. It’s extremely important that as a Club, that we pay our respects and remember the many people who’ve given their lives for our freedom. We hope that our special shirts can raise vital funds for those who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces.”

These shirts will be used for fund raising as after the match they will be signed by each player and will be auctioned + the money will be going to The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.

The Royal British Legion has been informed that all 20 Premiership League teams are wearing poppies in support of the Poppy Appeal.
