Red Blooded Rooney

RooneyJust when most of the United supporters started to think that Rooney would end at up at the Eastlands, all of sudden the saga took a U-turn when Rooney signed a new 5-year contract for the Red Devils shattering the dreams of millions.

The City insiders believed their mega-deal would clinch a £60m transfer but Wayne Rooney proved his loyalty and love for Manchester United when he reportedly rejected a staggering £85 million Manchester City contract offer to stay with Manchester United. City’s personal terms for Rooney, included wages of £15m a-year plus a £10m signing-on fee. But the Red Blooded Rooney turned down the chance to earn £288,000 a-week wages with City. He is now United’s highest paid player on £250,000 a-week.

City’s commitment to recruiting the best players in the world and paying them whatever it takes will send more shockwaves through the game. Rooney and his advisers were aware of City’s interest and potential to challenge the Premier League’s big four but Rooney was simply not interested as he never considered an exit from the Theater of Dreams. However, there is no doubt City will continue to hunt for the very best in the market.

The Devils hit man revealed that he was never leaving United and there were absolutely no intentions to join a club like City. The United lover who earlier threatened to quit has had a little backlash from the United fans but now, to regain fan’s trust and support, he has openly expressed his reasons that he only did that just to make the owners think that they should really make investment into the club and that he still has the utmost respect and love for the club and never intended to quit at all. Rooney revealed: “I was never going to leave Manchester United.”

The highest paid player in history now, Rooney, is currently on holiday in Dubai these days with his wife Coleen and now seriously hopes to be fit for the Manchester derby and to show the Citizens what they missed out on.
