Robinho eyes Milan-Barca final

Robinho believes AC Milan and Barcelona are now the two strongest sides in Europe after the Rossoneri‘s summer spending.

Robinho, who had been strongly linked with a move to Barca before leaving Manchester City, now feels Milan are a match for the 2009 European champions and is hoping to meet them in this season’s final at Wembley.

"I dream of a final between Milan and Barcelona," he said. "At the moment, they are the strongest teams. We have such a strong side and in attack we’re amazing.

"Milan made some huge buys and on paper we are very strong. We are deadly on paper, but now we have to be like that on the pitch.

"It’s true that Barcelona were asking for me. With Milan, we understood each other right away and I feel at home, thanks in part to the many Brazilians who are already here."

Milan have been drawn against Robinho’s former team Real Madrid in the group stage of the competition and, given the nature of his departure from the club, he is expecting to face some unhappy supporters.

"I know I won’t get a good reception from the fans at the Bernabeu, but I’ll definitely celebrate if I score in Madrid," he said. "I won at Real, but it would be wonderful for me to beat Jose Mourinho’s team while wearing the Rossoneri jersey.

"I don’t want to talk about City. I just focus on enriching my victories with Milan. I am not looking for any particular personal vendettas. I just want to get back to winning with a team."
