Barcelona coach Guardiola refuses to fire back at Ibrahimovic

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola refused to enter a war of words with Zlatan Ibrahimovic¬†after the Swede’s move to AC Milan.¬†Following victory over Racing Santander, Guardiola chose to praise his former striker.

“I appreciate his efforts and wish him all the best of luck in his new club. He’s a great player,” said the coach.

“I do not know [if Barca will miss Ibra], I guess so, anything is possible but I am very pleased with the squad I have and with the reserves.

“The first match is always difficult. I congratulate Racing because they are one of the few teams who play us as equals and not with long balls.”
