The English Premier League Kit Special: Season 2010-11

Its the moment all fans have been waiting for. The clubs are revealing their home, away and third kits for the new campaign. Some fans are delighted with the new kits but some are disappointed. There are also some dodgy fakes around the internet. So Football Realm brings you the best and worst.

The new home shirt of Arsenal is quite similar to the one they wore in 2006. The shorts, socks, sleeves and collars are plain white with a block of red in the middle of the shirt. These 2010 shirts are origional in a different way. They are made from recycled polyester, crafted from eight plastic water bottles diverted from landfills to be used in the manufacturing process.

The away kit is the eye catcher. Yellow shirt with maroon stripes and maroon shorts. It certainly looks good on van persie though. Walcot has described this new shirt as a traditional kit. On the reverse of the badge is stitched the motto “Victoria Concordia Crescit” which means “Victory Through Harmony”. Well they have tried everything else over the last five years-maybe the newshirt can inspire them to silverware.

Birmingham city have used a unique way of choosing a kit by letting their fans do it. They offered their supporters four options for their new strip and the winner was chosen via online pole. So here’s the winner with 33 percent of votes this will be birmingham’s new kit for the new season.

The new home kit is simple,  just like last season’s kit. The only difference is the removal of red trim from the neck. But all eyes are on the away kit. It’s very similar to Manchester United’s. But Big Sam will be very pleased as he is an ex United player. But can the away kit bring luck to Blackburn, because they only managed three wins away from edwood park last season. Let’s hope they can do better than last season in this new away kit.

The new kit of Bolton is quite amazing. It has a raft of new features in it which no one really understands. It has a moisten management system called “Play Dry” which aids the players performance. But it looks like the current home kit. All they have done is take the grey stripes away from the bottom and put some Reebok branding on the arms.

Calm down everyone it’s just a bit of red on Chelsea’s home kit. This red colour is the homage to the club’s historical association with the Chelsea Pensioners. The breast plates are gone which adorn the current kit in favour of a simpler or ‘Retro’ style.

The away kit is quite dark. It is Black with orange stripes. With an Italian as a manager, Chelsea will also have to be careful about their looks. They are going to defend their title next season and have to to it in style as they did this season by banging 103 goals. Even if they fail to defend their title this time atleast they’ll look good.

Everton’s new home kit waves goodbye to V-neck and is again all blue. But the main talking point is their away shirt. many eyebrows were raised when they had pink stripes on their away shirt last season. But this time they have come with a much better idea, they have turned the whole kit pink. This away kit has become a laughing stock all around the world. Will the Evertonians have the courage to put on these shirts? let’s wait and see what they have stored for us this season.

Fulham’s new kit is not a thing to get excited about. It throws us back to the classic design of 70s.The club tells us that the shirt ‘is characterised by attention to detail: 3-needle seam with covering, ergonomic cuts on the sides, customised embroidery and the new V-neck that gives new personality to the shirt.

New season, new league and new kit. Newcastle have stuck to their famous black and white stripes for their new jerseys. Puma tells us that the new shirts are made from a lightweight, breathable fabric. Newcastle boss Chris Hughton was very excited with this new kit and also said that all thr players are also excited.

New season, new players, new manager, new kits and new sponsor. It’s all changed at Anfield this coming season. They have finally found a new sponsor and have ended their long long partnersjip with their previous sponsor ‘Carlseberg’ . The new Liverpool kit has been designed according the one they wore in 1990 when they last won the league. They have tried every design to recapture their bygone glory days. United dropped a clanger by accidentally allowing their reserve side to wear the new kit two days before the offcial release. Tsk tsk .. Sir Alex’s side will wear the logo of insurance giants AON by replacing AIG and the rumours are suggesting that they will unveil new white away kit in a couple of days. This kit is a ‘Retro” design which throws them back to 1980s design.

Stoke city have signed a new deal with  market giants Adidas. There manager was so happy with this deal that he compared Stoke with Europe’s elites. Many big clubs wear Adidas shirts including Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Liverpool. So, does that mean Stoke are in for the title here , we’ll just have to wait and see.

These are leaked images of this new spurs’ shirt. These are believed to be real because Spurs have been wearing them at White Hart Lane. If this is their new kit than it will be very similar to their classic look. With a nod to the admiral and Le Coq Sportif kits the Lily-whites wore in the 1970s and 1980s-the new jersey is all out retro. The shirt front is currently blank because their deal with online gambling company ‘Mansion”’will expire in june and a new deal is yet to be secured.
