Silva opts for Premier League, Yaya to follow?

Though World Cup is the only thing being concentrated by all the football fans around the globe this summer, but side by side European Clubs have started to spend their money in this summer Transfer Window that has already started to gain everyone’s attention.

What I believed was David Villa and David Silva have the perfect combining skills and they both used to get down to the game perfectly and in Spanish League, even for Real Madrid and Barcelona this partnership was a big threat as Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only two teams competing for the Spanish League Title so when I heard about David Villa being transferred to Barcelona, I asked What will David Silva take to stop himself from transferring himself to any other European Club? And same happened on 30th June 27, 2010 when Manchester City announced the agreement of a signing of £24 million between the club and David Silva for a four year contract. The signing was made as a replacement for Manchester City’s Left Winger Martin Petrov, who is most likely to leave the club this summer.

David Silva’s performance has always been up to the mark by his standard. And in South Africa, although he’s not been given that much chances that a player such as his standard should get, but still whenever he has been given a chance he has done everything to prove himself as one of the best Left Wingers in Europe. David Silva played a total no. of 33 games for Valencia CF in the 2009-10 season and scored 7 goals and made 6 assists. He also played for Spanish National Side in the World Cup Qualifiers. For the whole season he started 37 games, played in 41, scored 12 goals and made 8 assists.

David Silva is going to be a very effective player for Manchester City, there’s no doubt about that, as all they want is a place in the UEFA Champions League next season. The 24 year old will surely help Manchester City to give a tough fight to the big 4 of Premier League for winning the title. With likes of Tevez, Adebayor, Barry, Bellamy etc Manchester City are sure to reach new heights. Now that they have signed David Silva Manchester City are already eyeing a swoop for current City’s defender, Kolo Toure’s brother, Yaya Toure from Barcelona. A re-union with his brother will definitely appeal Yaya who has failed to find a regular first place in Pep Guardiola’s side.

Although I’m a critic of Manchester City’s way spending (or rather wasting) money still I seriously hope that Manchester City and their new signing David Silva will become a tough fight in the Premier League for the title and maybe this signing might be that special one to prove that English Premier League is the best League in Europe.
