Alexandre Pato to return for Second Leg against Manchester United

AC Milan brazilian sensation Alexandre Pato will be back when the two teams(AC Milan and Manchester United) will lock horns at the Old Trafford for the Champions League second leg clash. However, Pato will miss the trip to Roma as a precaution to be 100% fit for the decider.

Pato suffered a hamstring injury against Atalanta last weekend, but now various sources suggest that he has made a full recovery and was able to train with the rest of the squad at Milanello on Thursday. But, despite his availability, Leonardo  has decided to rest him so he can be fully fit for the European showdown against United at Old Trafford on Wednesday.  United lead 3-2 on aggregate following their win at San Siro a fortnight ago. Leonardo is certainly aware of the fact that it will be difficult to beat the English Champions, especially on their home soil that’s why he will be taking no chances or risks and wants his team to be 100% fit and prepared for the mouth watering clash with the Red Devils.

Inspite of being fit, Pato will be tested mentally as well as physically on the English soil in the presence of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, who will also be  making a come back after his back injury which kept him out for months. There is no doubt that Pato is a complete striker with great mental strength and blistering pace but on the other hand the quality of the defensive duo (Rio and Vidic) cannot be ignored as the defensive rocks proved to be a brick wall in defense last season.

Will Vidic and Ferdinand be able to stop the firepower of Milan or will Pato find a way through the defensive wall and end United’s European dreams? Well, it wouldn’t be wise to say anything before the match =P
